An Update on Advertlets Referrals, And A Contest!

We’re reaching Phase 2 of our testing for the Advertlets Referrals beta.. There are approximately 130 bloggers participating in the Advertlets Referrals beta at the moment, from our logs, not counting those that have not sent a verified referral/click yet. It’s easy, all you have to do is customize a URL with your username, and use it to link to our site instead of just a normal hyperlink. You can view this post for more details.

Contest:
While we will may change the referral payout mechanism in future, for this month: The top 10 referrers by the end of the month of June 2007 (30th June 2007, 11:59PM), will get RM100/SGD45 each credited into their Advertlets Account Only one referral entry per individual can be eligible for the top 10, with your highest entry being counted. Those who use artificial traffic generation methods or fake/multiple signups will be disqualified from this contest. Only Malaysians and Singaporeans are eligible to participate. Winners will be announced here, on the Advertlets blog, on the 3rd of July 2007.

Here are some tips:
1. If you link/mention Advertlets.com, use the referral link instead of a normal hyperlink.
2. You can use the referral link on images too. While there are no official referral buttons/images yet, you are free to create your own if you like.
3. You can use it on more places than just your blog (for example: shared with your friends via e-mail, MSN Messenger) but please do not spam.

Advertlets Referral System now in Beta - here’s some code for you to test!

Hi Advertlets Users!

A lot of you have been asking about the possibility of us having a referral system, where you get rewarded for getting new bloggers (or even advertisers!) to sign up for Advertlets.

While right now we are not paying out anything *yet*, we have to test the referral system across a wide userbase to make sure it delivers the best value for our bloggers. We would appreciate your help in testing it out…a few of you are already testing it (thanks!), including Wilson, Jimmy and Irene!

Please use the code below to link to make a referral link to Advertlets.com so we can track how much activity your blog sends our way - and do remember to replace YOURUSERNAMEHERE with your own username, of course. Do not change anything else, or else it won’t work.
