New Feature: Advertlets Poll Only Code
Some of you have requested a version of the widget which ONLY displays the demographics poll, with no ads so that you can accumulate demographics about your blog faster. We’re happy to note that this is now available. Just log into your Advertlets account, click the “Blogs” tab, and choose the code for Sidebar Polls Only (No Ads).
Just so you know, demographic poll submissions are not compulsory, but help us match you better with advertisers based on the audience of your blog. You can read more here on the Advertlets Support KnowledgeBase - Blog Demographics & Statistics
All Your Questions Answered Regarding The Advertlets Demographics Poll & Statistics
1. What are the demographics for?
The demographics submissions are for Advertisers to find out what kind of audience visits your blog. It’s also for you - so you can find out more about your site visitors, and maybe, even plan your site content accordingly! And for us at Advertlets too, so we know who our network reaches in general.
2. Do I need to have at least 50 demographics submissions to get advertising on my blog?
Nope. Nada. No. The demographics submissions has always been more of a recommendation than a requirement - however, you will not be eligible for ALL advertising opportunities available IF your demographics submissions are NOT filled in.
Generally, the more demographics submissions you have the higher your chances. Some advertisers like to use demographics to determine which blogs they should advertise on, especially if its a product/service that applies to one gender. However, some would like to reach a larger audience, with some targeting options (eg, as long as they are Malaysians).
Tip: Even after you get advertising on your blog (with the ad taking up the space where the poll used to be), you can still get demographics submissions - ask your visitors to click on the “refresh/cycle” button on the Advertlets widget, and the poll will appear.
3. Does this mean that I can get advertising even before my demographics submissions are filled?
Yes, but ONLY for advertisers that do not require the demographics to make a decision in order to advertise on your blog. If your blog is sufficiently popular/interesting, or you’re a blog superstar for example, you stand a good chance to get ads!
Hope this clarifies some misconceptions that people have. We have a whole bunch of new ads and exciting campaigns set to run on the 3rd week of May, so we look forward to serving you new ads soon!

CikguAzleen.com - Kenali Pembaca Blog Anda
Cikgu Azleen menggunakan Poll Advertlets untuk mengenal pembaca blog dia yang berkaitan dengan menjana wang melalui internet!
-
73% Pembaca Blog Ini Adalah Kaum Lelaki. Hmmm.. Kenapa ya? Mungkin kerana saya perempuan?
YvonneFoong.com - Understanding Your Blog Readers
Yvonne Foong uses the poll to help plan which items to sell for fundraising.

They are mostly 18-25 years. Most are college students
Unlikely to afford expensive clothes and jewelries
More bloggers than non-bloggers.
well at least there’s a balance
Most prefer to buy t-shirts from me, followed by books, women’s accessories, and dresses. In that order.
Gee, I thought t-shirts are everywhere”
By the way, Yvonne Foong is running a customized version of the poll with additional questions. If you’ll like some additional questions to add to your poll, why not e-mail us? (and make sure you blog about the results, we’ll love to see it!). This is valid for exclusive members of Advertlets only (not signed up with any other blog advertising network).
Advertlets: New Ad Formats Soon, Minimum Payout & Traffic Requirements Lowered
Lower traffic bloggers rejoice! Advertlets is happy to announce that we will be launching new ad formats that are not as traffic sensitive, in less than a month! Right now, the ads we are running are based on a CPM model (cost-per-metric), which depend on high traffic (and occasionally local traffic only) for better earnings.
With the upcoming new formats, we are confident of giving earning opportunities to lower traffic bloggers, and at the same time increasing value to our advertisers - hence we are now reducing the minimum requirements to join Advertlets.
As of such we are pleased to announce the new requirements:
- Minimum unique visitors per day to your blog: 50
- Blog demographics submissions needed: 50
- Minimum rate for payout reduced to RM100
Through our new ad formats, we are confident in delivering better earnings for bloggers that have quality content but not high traffic, and rewards interaction and participation instead of just volume. We will be rolling this out throughout selected blogs first - so do contact us if you’ll like to be part of the test group for these new formats.
The blogosphere responds!: DotMySpot talks about our new reduced rates, and about Hongkiat.com’s earnings.
CikguAzleen also mengatakan bahawa Advertlets telah mengubahsuai requirement mereka untuk membolehkan anda menjadi blogger mereka.
Advertlets launches Ad Campaign for Exabytes!
We were approached by Exabytes to do a campaign not long ago, and the results of which launched yesterday. We are proud to support a forward thinking client like Exabytes, as they are active in online advertising and promotions. The client, who previously tried a campaign across a huge network of blogs on a different platform, requested our capability to not just serve ads across multiple blogs, but also to target the advertisements to be displayed to only Malaysian visitors. In addition, we provided demographics data for the client to choose which blogs to advertise on. Since the campaign was targeted at bloggers, we chose to advertise on sites that were frequented mainly by other bloggers. Our demographics data for the blogs included Gender, Age Range, Profession and Whether Blogger Or Not.
