Walka-what? Walkabrella!

Walkabrella is an event created by DEMI. Who are they? They’re a group of Mass Communication students from KDU College and this December we’ll be holding our Public Relations event in Central Park 1 Utama. Advertlets is proud to sponsor this noble initiative.

What’s it all about? Well, Walkabrella is a 6 kilometre walk starting and ending at Central Park 1 Utama. It’s taking place on 6th December, with registration starting at 7 am. Early, we know but we don’t want people to be walking in the hot sun!

And after the walk, we have a special treat for you! There’ll be a small concert and a bazaar as well, all taking place at Central Park 1 Utama.

Why is this being organized? It’s to create awareness for cerebral palsy! Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects muscle tones and movements. People with cerebral palsy often can’t fully control their movements.

The event is organized for the sake of the children at Pusat Pejagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM). PPKKCTM was established in 1992 to provide a better living environment for disabled and underprivileged children. Unfortunately, the home is in dire need of space. To build a new centre, they need help! And that’s what we hope to give them. How can you join? It’s easy!
