Advertlets: Beware Of Josh Lim Impostors on MyBlogLog (Issue Resolved)
Josh Lim, CEO of Advertlets here. Recently there has been a MyBlogLog profile created, not by me, that uses my picture and name, and has been surfing around quite a bit. As I do check on blogs now on then to read them (because I like reading blogs, of course), and answer any comments that users of our ad network might have (on official Advertlets business), I previously utilized the official Advertlets MyBlogLog profile that is shared among the Advertlets Team as well.
However, given that someone is pretending to be me (and by extension, a representative of the company), its best to clarify. Hence I’ve had to take the trouble to register a new account, and I’ll be surfing with this from now on.
This is my real MyBlogLog profile: (joshlim-advertlets), and you should also take note of the official Advertlets MyBlogLog profile.
Important: We would like to remind bloggers: DO NOT under any circumstance, give anyone your Advertlets account password. We will never ask for your password by e-mail, or through private messaging on ANY system, or social network. In the meantime I’m not sure if anything can be done, but I will be writing to MyBlogLog to see if its possible to flag or delete that fake account.
And to the impostor: You could have (a) not done this, and (b) made better use of your time and (c) chosen a much better photo, really. That’s a terrible photo of me! Seriously though, we suggest you halt this immediately as it may cause confusion among our members and doesn’t reflect well on you either.
Real Josh Lim, signing out.
Update: Thanks to Robyn Tippins from MyBlogLog, the issue has been resolved, and the fake Josh Lim has been vanquished. You probably know Robyn, and she’s on probably on your MyBlogLog list too - she’s the first contact added by default in MyBlogLog, as she’s the community manager. Very swift response, and great service! I hadn’t even gotten around to e-mailing them, but she must’ve picked up on it from Technorati or something. Thanks again, Robyn!
At least you got yourself a fan.
oOoOo… ok ok.. will take note of it.. No wonder I saw ‘you’ around recently.. hehehe..
noted! thanks for the infor! beware of this!

[…] I am sorry To Josh, I hope you would forgive me for my clumsiness in handling things. I got my lesson. I also hoped that one day, you will have no more such things happening, on both MyBlogLog and anywhere else on the Internet. […]
