Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Kewei!

Josh Lim from Advertlets here. At a glance, Kewei’s blog might appear to be an ordinary young female’s blog - pictures of celebrities, a music player, etc. Until you realize - that’s her on stage with them, and that’s her voice in the songs playing on her blog! Kewei has been blogging since 2005 at projectdiy.net, but recently has moved to her own spot. For some odd reason too, her mum seems to have the same birthday as me. Anyway, I digress. Read on!

I’m a singer!

Technically so

Not a recording artiste, not a popstar, but a singer.

Currently touring with major pop/R&B acts from Asia in their world concert tours, eg. David Tao, Amei, JJ Lin Junjie, as their backup vocalist.

Constantly searching for the right kind of soul food to keep me alive.

Kewei tells us what she does when not on tour…

In the meantime,

I sing at Oosh (lovely jazz joint, just opened this year),

Balaclava (yuppie flesh market at Suntec Convention Centre) and

Wala Wala (for casual flip-flops on Happy Hour Sundays).

I also play the erhu,

And once in a while, I write songs.

And once all the big important rocks are in my Jar of Life, I scatter in the sand to fill the remaining spaces of my time.

The sands of shopping, movies, KTV, hanging out and the all the boring habits of a city-dweller.
