Tell us about yourself
Hello! My name is Kelly and I was born and raised in Bintulu, which is a part of Sarawak, situated at the beautiful island of Borneo. Not many people know where it is, but I can tell you it’s a lovely rapidly growing town with friendly people.
I came to Australia when I was 17. Initially studying in Perth, and then relocated to Melbourne for my MBBS B.Med.Sc. in the University of Melbourne. Fast forward 6 years, I’m now almost graduating and will be an intern very soon, yeap, think ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, except there really aren’t that many good-looking surgeons around, unfortunately.
Kelly’s biggest passion
My biggest passion in life is singing. I have been participating in a variety of competitions in Malaysia and Australia since I was 7 and have the trophies in my cupboard to validate my journey.
I think it’s important to keep doing what you love no matter how busy your life gets. Therefore I enrolled myself in a singing school here and keep doing regular gigs. It’s a very powerful stress relief because when I step onto the stage…
…all I think about is to give my all and hope the audience would feel the emotions I’m projecting.
And why Kelly started blogging…
I was introduced to the world of blogging some 3 years ago (!) by a friend who was an avid blogger at the time. It wasn’t until sometime in 2006 I’ve started to take blogging a little more seriously, after being exposed to many great Malaysian/Singaporean bloggers.
Now my blog gives insight to life as a medical student, my daily living, my recipes (I also love to cook!) and videos of my performances. If I make more money I promise to buy a nice camcorder so I can upload better quality videos! The main objective for my blog is to share my life with people so they can be either entertained or even better, learn from my experiences.
I would also like to convey a message that it is possible to make your own destiny and live life to the fullest by following your passions.
What does Kelly get with Advertlets?
I joined Advertlets by a friend’s referral and it hasn’t taken that long for me to learn that it is a great concept and allows everyone to benefit. What I hope to get with Advertlets is of course some extra income as well as taking an early step in pursuing my dreams. I would like to launch my media career in the near future and I think Advertlets would be a right place to start.
